Join us for an evening with Janette Sadik-Khan, author of Street Fight: Handbook for an Urban Revolution, for a presentation on the future of transportation. Learn about trends in transportation planning and technology as the City of Minneapolis engages with the public on the Transportation Action Plan. Janette Sadik-Khan is one of the leading voices on urban transportation policy and was the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation from 2007 to 2013 under Mayor Michael Bloomberg, leading one of the most sweeping revitalizations of NYC's street in a half-century. She currently advises mayors of cities around the world as a principal of Bloomberg Associates and is the chair of the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), an organization of transportation commissioners and directors in 38 cities.

The first 250 attendees will receive a free copy of the book Street Fight: Handbook for an Urban Revolution. This event is brought to you by the City of Minneapolis Public Works Department in partnership with the Minneapolis Downtown Council, Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District, Move Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota’s Center for Transportation Studies.
